7ft Christmas trees
Seven feet (210cm) needs a ceiling of about 2.5m with a topper, which means a Victorian or Edwardian room, a hallway with a stairwell, or a modern open-plan space. This page lists the 7ft trees and the 7.5ft (225cm) ones, which share the same rooms. It is the largest group in the shop alongside 5ft: pre-lit pines from 380 to 600 LEDs, unlit firs and pines, the widest choice of snowy and flocked trees at any height, and slim 7.5ft firs for a tall but narrow space. Most ship by two-person courier, free, and come in two or three hinged sections.

Measuring for a 7ft tree
Measure floor to ceiling where the tree will stand, not in the middle of the room, because older ceilings slope and cornices take 10cm. Take off the topper height and a 15cm gap. A 7ft tree with a 25cm star needs 2.5m; a 7.5ft tree needs 2.65m. The base of a full 7ft tree is around 1.4m across, so the corner needs to be clear of radiators and door swings.
Pre-lit at 7ft
Eight of the shop's pre-lit trees are 7ft and two more are 7.5ft. LED counts run from 380 on the 7ft Ben Nevis Pine at £309 to 600 on the 7.5ft Snowy Dorchester Spruce at £399, with the fullest real-feel firs at 800. At this height a pre-lit tree is a strong case: wrapping 700 lights at 2.1m needs a stepladder, and the factory wiring spaces the LEDs through the depth of the branches where hand-wrapped sets only reach the tips.
Unlit and snowy
Five unlit trees are 7ft, including the Ben Nevis Pine, cones and berries wired in, at £229. Seven of the snowy and flocked trees are 7ft, more than at any other height, from the Grand River Pine with frosted pinecones at £199 to the Snowy Dorchester Spruce at £329 unlit. For a narrow space, the 7.5ft Kingswood Fir pencil tree keeps the height in an 80cm footprint.
Assembly and weight
A full 7ft tree weighs 15 to 25kg and arrives in one or two boxes. The sections hinge, so assembly is lifting each section onto the pole and letting the branches drop; the top section is light enough for one person, the bottom section is easier with two. Fluffing the tips takes longer than the assembly and is what makes the tree look full.
Lights and decorations
Seven hundred to a thousand LEDs for an unlit 7ft tree, or a 960 cluster set. Seventy to a hundred baubles in three sizes, a 25 to 30cm topper and a 12m garland or two ribbon spirals. On a 7.5ft slim tree, halve the baubles and keep the lights.
Common questions
Is 7ft too tall for a 2.4m ceiling?
With a topper, yes: 210cm plus a 25cm star is 2.35m, which leaves no gap. A 6ft tree is the right size for 2.4m; 7ft suits 2.5m and up.
What is the difference between 7ft and 7.5ft?
Fifteen centimetres of height and usually a little more width. The 7.5ft trees are the luxury firs and the slim Kingswood pencil trees; both need a 2.65m ceiling with a topper.
How is a 7ft tree delivered?
By two-person courier, free of charge. The courier contacts you to agree a day and brings the boxes to the door.
How many lights for a 7ft tree?
Seven hundred for an even glow, a thousand for a bright tree. The 7ft trees sold here with lights fitted carry 380 to 600.
Can one person put up a 7ft tree?
Yes, but the bottom section of a full tree is easier with two. The slim 7.5ft trees are light enough for one.
