The train
The classic battery train is the piece that goes round the base of the tree: an engine with a light, tender and carriages on a loop of track, running on batteries so there is no cable across the floor. It suits a 6ft or 7ft tree with a skirt and is the thing children lie on the floor to watch.
Fibre optic frames
The 40cm frames hold a printed scene, a train, Santa's sleigh, with fibre optic points of light through the picture that twinkle on batteries. They stand on a shelf or hang on a wall and are the quietest lit pieces in the shop.
Villages
The 47cm Battery Operated Wooden Village with a jute rope Christmas tree is a single piece: houses, a church and a tree on one base, lit from within, for a windowsill or a mantelpiece. The Konstsmide Animated Christmas Scene with Santa and gifts moves as well as lights.
Batteries
Eight of the ten pieces run on batteries, listed on each product page and not included. Most have a timer.
