Battery or mains
Eight trees are battery powered, usually three AA cells with a six-hour timer that repeats every 24 hours, so the tree comes on at the same time each evening. Five are mains powered through a low-voltage adaptor, which suits a tree that stays lit all day in a shop or office.
Indoor and outdoor

Are batteries included?
Usually not. Each battery tree lists the cell type and count; most take three AA batteries.
Can I decorate a tabletop tree further?
Yes, with 3cm to 4cm baubles and a short 20-LED battery string. The pre-dressed trees are finished and need nothing added.
Do they come with a stand or base?
Yes, each has a weighted base, a pot or a fabric-covered block depending on the design, so it stands without support.
How many lights does a 2ft tree have?
Between 20 and 100 micro LEDs on the pre-lit models, which is plenty at that size. The shimmer cone trees carry up to 400.
